The Willemstan Public Surveys is an initiative by Ian Hampton to collect public opinion data from Willemstan citizens. This information is typically used as feedback for the current administration, and data for the Willemstan Wiki. The first survey was conducted in the summer of 2020, and there have been a total of seven surveys thus far. For a time, Ian used the Willemstan Economy Initiative as an incentive to respond to the polls. In order to encourage honest feedback, respondents are kept anonymous and individual responses are never released.
Willemstan Public Survey #1
Background
This survey was conducted during the summer of 2020. It was meant to collect data on the public opinion of the citizens regarding the Willemstan Civil War and the Willemstan Coup. This information was used for the Willemstan Civil War article, and proved to the existing administration that the reforms were generally well received.
Results
- 8/10 respondents supported the Willemstan Reactionaries, compared to 2/10 respondents supported the Willemstan Nationalists.
Willemstan Public Survey #2
Background
The second Willemstan Public Survey was issued in late July of 2020. This survey asked the citizens if they were happy with the current state of Willemstan, and if they had any suggestions. This form had only six respondents.

- Lowest Score: 5/10
- Highest Score: 10/10
- Median Score: 8.5/10
- Average Score: 8.1/10
Willemstan Public Survey #3
Background
This survey was announced on August 3rd of 2020. It asked the citizens what their thoughts are on all past Dictatorships, in order to collect data on approval ratings and reception for the Leadership article. There were 10 respondents this time, but some questions had more responses than others since not all respondents were able to answer each question.
Results
- Josue's Dictatorship got a median score of 3/5 and an approval rating of 60%.
- Eli's First Dictatorship got a median score of 4/5 and an approval rating of 87.5%.
- Annie's Dictatorship got a median score of 2/5 and an approval rating of 33.33%.
- Sean's First Dictatorship got a median score of 3/5 and an approval rating of 44%.
Willemstan Public Survey #4
Background
The fourth survey was announced on January 2nd of 2021. This was a continuation of the previous survey, in order to collect public opinion on Eli's Second Dictatorship for the Willemstan Wiki.
Results
- Eli's Second Dictatorship got a median score of 4/5 and an approval rating of 100%.
Willemstan Public Survey #5
Background
The fifth Willemstan Public Survey was conducted on February 16th of 2021. It asked the citizens their thoughts on the Empire of Willemstan directive, and was used to help the administration decide if the war with r/Williamston should continue. There were 8 respondents.
Results
- The median response to "What is your opinion on the Empire of Willemstan Directive" was a 3/5.
- 3 respondents voted to continue the war with r/Williamston indefinitely, 3 voted to continue for a limited time, and two voted for an end to the war.
Willemstan Public Survey #6
Background
The sixth Willemstan Public Survey was conducted on July 5th of 2021. It asked the citizens their opinion on Sean's Second Dictatorship, and thus, was another continuation of Willemstan Public Survey #3. Naturally, this data was also used for the Willemstan Wiki's Leadership article. There were 13 respondents, the most for any of the surveys at the time.
Results
- Sean's Second Dictatorship got a median score of 3/5 and an approval rating of 76.9%.
Willemstan Public Survey #7
Background
The seventh Willemstan Public Survey was issued on September 16th of 2021. It asked the citizens for their opinion on the multi-party system, as the popularity of the multi-party system was unclear at the time. It also asked the respondents who the most influential people in Willemstan's history is, asking for them to select 8 out of a list of 24. Ten people filled out this survey.
Results
- 70% of respondents fully supported the multi-party system, with the other 30% claiming to have mixed views / no opinion.
- 10/10 responses selected Charlie Nolan as one of the most influential people in Willemstan's history.
- 8/10 responses selected Eli Payton as one of the most influential people in Willemstan's history.
- 7/10 responses selected Ian Hampton, Sean Kavanagh, and Dr. Delp as some of the most influential people in Willemstan's history.
- 5/10 responses selected Ben Kruger and Malcolm Hollingworth as some of the most influential people in Willemstan's history.
